Privacy Policy

What the app does

Active Dispatch is an informational tool that displays incident listings and related details from third-party sources. It is intended for situational awareness only.

Location

We do not store, sell, or share your precise location. If you grant location permission, the app may use your location on-device to calculate distances (for example, “nearest” sorting). Your location is not retained by us.

Information we collect

We aim to collect as little information as possible. Depending on how the app is built/configured, we may collect:

  • Basic app usage analytics (e.g., taps like refresh, map open, sort selection) to improve performance and reliability.
  • Crash and diagnostic data (e.g., error logs) to fix bugs.

If analytics/diagnostics are enabled, we recommend using data that is not directly identifying where possible.

Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect or store precise location history.
  • We do not collect contacts.
  • We do not request or store sensitive personal data (health, biometrics, government IDs, etc.).

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your precise location with third parties. If third-party analytics or crash reporting providers are used, they only receive the minimal event/diagnostic data needed to operate the service.

Data retention

If analytics/diagnostics are enabled, we retain them only as long as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the app, comply with legal obligations, and enforce these terms.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect any collected data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Active Dispatch is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this document from time to time. Changes take effect when posted in the app or alongside the app.

Not emergency services

Active Dispatch is not a replacement for emergency services. Do not use the app to report emergencies, request help, or as a real-time public safety broadcast. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (e.g., 911 in the U.S.).

No guarantee of accuracy or timeliness

The app displays information from external sources. Incident data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, edited, removed, or incorrect. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any displayed data.

Use at your own risk

You are responsible for how you use the information shown in the app. Do not rely on the app for safety-critical decisions.

Third-party sources

Content shown in Active Dispatch may originate from third parties. Those sources may have their own terms, policies, and restrictions. We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Active Dispatch and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app or any data shown in the app.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Active Dispatch and its developers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the app or violation of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the app (or any part of it) at any time. These terms remain effective to the extent they should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers and limitation of liability).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the app operator is located, unless local law requires otherwise.
